\u00a0I believe the body holds emotion, trauma, and stress. Over time, this can build up, creating a mess of discomfort and imbalance.<\/p>\n

The mind and body are interconnected, and so dysregulation will occur if we are stuck in an emotionally or physically unwell state.\u00a0 One will inevitably affect the other, resulting in a cycle of chronic pain.<\/span><\/p>\n

Relaxation is vitally important to create balance within our bodies. Living in a big city, the hustle and bustle of daily life, chasing one goal after another, everything can get so hectic that we can lose ourselves and may even forget what it feels like to truly be in a state of tranquility and comfort.<\/p>\n

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t practicing massage, I’ve been passionate about it for so long that it feels like it is in my blood.<\/p>\n

My name is Sarah, I am a Licensed Holistic Massage Practitioner.<\/p>\n

I’ve been giving massage since I was 5.\u00a0 My Grandfather was an avid lover of massage and would regularly get massage from his RMT who graduated from Sutherland-Chan in the early 90’s. When my Papa’s RMT wasn’t available, I would step in, and walk on his back.<\/p>\n

At Birthdays, and Christmas I would gift my family with hand written vouchers for 15 minute shoulder massage, 30 minute foot massage, etc.<\/p>\n

In 2017 I graduated from Sutherland-Chan. While studying, I got to choose specialty clinics that reflected what those close to me have gone through.<\/p>\n

I worked on those afflicted with Alzheimer’s, those who have suffered strokes, those who were battling cancer at Princess Margaret, those who were in palliative care in the Thoracic Unit at TGH, and those who were in hospital due to high risk pregnancy.<\/p>\n

After graduating from Sutherland-Chan I realized that the RMT world focuses almost exclusively on the clinical medical aspects of treatment. I believe in taking an integrative approach to care, which includes a\u00a0combination of scientific study, as well as a holistic, and spiritual approach to healing.<\/p>\n

In 2018 I became interested in Lomi Lomi Massage, and took training to learn this beautiful style of healing.<\/p>\n

I became interested in Thai Massage, and studied that as well.<\/p>\n

In 2023 I worked 30 hours a week as a Licensed Holistic Practitioner at a busy Thai Massage business where I could also incorporate my skills in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of 2024 I joined an in person ASMR Spa (the first and only in Toronto), and have been providing in person ASMR relaxation sessions there ever since (I do incorporate a touch of massage into my sessions, but it is very much it’s own niche experience).<\/p>\n

For years I’ve maintained working at multiple different jobs at one time, as I enjoy the variety.<\/p>\n
